"Shaheeds in our sky - Putin's true attitude": Zelensky on the statement on the ceasefire

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy responded to Russian dictator Vladimir Putin's statement regarding the Easter truce.

He announced this on social media.

The head of state noted that immediately after the relevant news appeared, the Russians launched drones over Ukraine. Such actions speak louder than words.

"Now an air alert is spreading across the territory of Ukraine... Russian strike drones have been recorded in our sky. Ukrainian air defense and aviation have already begun working to protect. "Shaheeds" in our sky are Putin's true attitude towards Easter and people's lives," the president said.

As is known, on April 19, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin declared an Easter truce. According to it, the Russian occupiers must stop all hostilities from 6:00 p.m. on April 19 to 12:00 a.m. on April 21. He stated that the course of the truce will show the readiness of the Ukrainian side to the desire and ability to peacefully resolve the issue.

The ceasefire announcement came after Donald Trump and his administration made it clear that the US could walk away from peace talks if there is no progress in the near future.

As "Apostrophe" wrote, the other day Trump threatened to walk away from attempts to secure peace in Ukraine if either side "makes it very difficult."
