The Central Election Commission explained how they want to resolve the issue of Ukrainians voting in elections from abroad.
"Apostrophe" will tell you more about this later.
Despite the impossibility of organizing voting for all voters at existing embassies and consulates, the CEC reported that they do not support electronic or postal voting, but are working on the idea of active registration.
The idea is that Ukrainians who wish to vote abroad should notify the authorities in advance. This should allow for the creation of additional polling stations outside embassies and consulates.
But its implementation requires changes to the legislation, because currently it is not allowed to deploy polling stations outside embassies and consulates.
This question was commented on by CEC member Serhiy Postivy to Apostrophe:
"This mechanism has been worked out by a working group at the CEC and agreed upon at a CEC working meeting. Currently, all proposals for legislation are being systematized, after which they will be transferred to the Verkhovna Rada, namely to the relevant committee, for further consideration by legislators."
