Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Yulia Svyrydenko, during the meeting in London, emphasized that Ukraine is ready to negotiate, but not to surrender.
The official wrote about this on the social network X.
According to Svyridenko, Ukraine will not agree to an agreement that would give Russia the opportunity to regroup and "return with greater violence."
"Today, when the Ukrainian delegation meets with partners in London, we confirm our principled position: Ukraine is ready to negotiate, but not to give up," the minister noted.
In addition, the official argues that a complete ceasefire on land, in the air and at sea is a necessary first step. And if "Russia prefers a limited pause, Ukraine will respond in kind."
"Our people will not accept a frozen conflict disguised as peace. We will never recognize the occupation of Crimea. And if NATO membership is not granted, Ukraine will need binding security guarantees – strong enough to deter future aggression and clear enough to ensure a lasting peace," she concluded.
As a reminder, on the morning of April 23, the head of the Presidential Office, Andriy Yermak, and the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov, arrived in London together with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Andriy Sybiga. They promised to work for peace no matter what.
