Putin declared a ceasefire for May 9

Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has declared a ceasefire from May 8 to 10, 2025.

This was reported by the Kremlin press service.

"By decision of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, based on humanitarian considerations, on the days of the 80th anniversary of the Victory — from zero hours on May 7-8 to zero hours on May 10-11 — the Russian side declares a ceasefire. All hostilities are suspended for this period," the statement said.

As a reminder, on April 19, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin declared an Easter truce . However, on April 20, Russian occupation forces violated the truce . Instead, the Russian Federation stated that it was the Armed Forces of Ukraine that violated the Easter truce .
