The Committee on Supervision and Regulation of Banking Activities, Payment Infrastructure Oversight of the National Bank recognized Petro Poroshenko's business reputation as impeccable.
This was reported on the official NBU channel in Telegram.
"Since Petro Poroshenko is the owner of a significant stake in JSC "MIB", requirements regarding business reputation apply to him. The National Bank monitors compliance with these requirements. The application of economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions) to Petro Poroshenko is a direct basis for recognizing his business reputation as not impeccable," the National Bank explained its decision.
The NBU also clarified that recognizing the business reputation of the owner of a significant stake in a bank as not impeccable in any way limits the bank's activities and the fulfillment of its obligations to clients.
Earlier , the National Bank responded to accusations of persecution of Petro Poroshenko .
