Ukraine has been waiting for three years: Poroshenko showed a video of a landmark event in Kyiv

President Petro Poroshenko by his decree dated April 11, appointed the judges of the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court of Appeal and Supreme Anti-Corruption Court. Thus, 38 judges have been appointed.

The corresponding video was published in Facebook by the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.

"The long-awaited event for Ukraine is the launch of the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court. We have been coming 3 years to it. Highly qualified international experts - former judges and prosecutors from the UK, Canada, Denmark, Lithuania, Macedonia were involved in the competitive procedures. And for me personally, this competition was a real breakthrough. Today, 38 new judges are taking up their duties in the new court. They have the levers and tools to be successful - the judicial reform gave them independence from the legislative and executive branches, and from the President as well," Poroshenko wrote.

As "Apostrophe" reported, on Thursday, March 1, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted in the first reading the Law №7440 "On the Supreme Anti-corruption Court".
