Ihor Kushnir raises Kyivmiskbud flag at the summit of Aconcagua

On February 13, 2022, the head of "Kyivmiskbud," Ihor Kushnir, reached the summit of Mount Aconcagua (6,962 m), the highest peak in South America. This ascent is part of the "Seven Summits" program, which includes the tallest peaks on each continent.

As part of the "Seven Summits" program, Ihor Kushnir previously conquered Mount Kilimanjaro (5,895 m) on January 11, 2007, and repeated the climb on July 23, 2014. In 2013, he reached the summit of Mount Elbrus (5,642 m), the highest point in Europe.

"We do not conquer mountains, but ourselves. This phrase is a century old, yet with each new mountain, I realize its truth. We climbed Aconcagua. The 6,961 meters turned out to be tougher than I had imagined. As they say, mountains test people, and people test themselves in the mountains. I tested myself to the fullest. But it was worth it!" wrote Ihor Kushnir.

To complete the program, the President of "Kyivmiskbud" needs to conquer Mount Everest (8,848 m) and one additional peak, depending on the version of the program he follows.
