Did they already change their minds? Zelensky and Poroshenko are off the wanted list in Russia

The Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs has removed from its website's search service the announcement of the wanted list of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and his predecessor Petro Poroshenko.

The material was prepared by Apostrophe.

It should be noted that both Ukrainian leaders were added to the search database by the so-called 'unit of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs’ in the occupied Donetsk Region - its number was indicated in the contact information. They were added to the database no later than 22 February.

It became known that Zelensky and Poroshenko were wanted in Russia on May 4. The database of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia contained information that the current and former presidents of Ukraine were wanted under an article of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, but did not specify which article.

Already on May 6, the Russian Interior Ministry published a comment explaining that this was only a ‘technical execution' of the wanted list, and ‘the decision to put on the wanted list and to terminate it is made by the IC of Russia and its territorial divisions’.

Earlier, Apostrophe wrote about the new position of Valeriy Fedorovich Zaluzhnyi.
