Zaluzhnyi gets new position and moves to London

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky appointed Valeriy Zaluzhnyi Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

This is stated in the Decree of the President of Ukraine No. 316/2024.

‘To appoint Valeriy Zaluzhnyi as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland,’ the document says.

As a reminder, President Zelensky dismissed Colonel Serhiy Lupanchuk from the post of Commander of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and appointed Brigadier General Oleksandr Trepak to this position.

General Oleksandr Trepak, a Hero of Ukraine, was the Commander of the 3rd separate Special Forces Regiment, based in the Kirovohrad, and later appointed Chief of Staff - Deputy Commander of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Earlier, Apostrophe reported that Volodymyr Zelensky appointed Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrskyi as the new Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
