According to Yevheniia Kravchuk, Deputy Chair of the Committee on Humanitarian and Information Policy, an imperial "theater" is now being built on the site of the historical monument. The MP recalled the PACE Resolution on Russia's genocidal intent to destroy Ukrainian cultural heritage and identity. The document reads:

"Since 2014, massive looting has been taking place in Crimea, including of items and art objects of the Crimean Tatars. Many Russian occupiers allegedly leave Crimea with cultural property, and more than 1,000 such artifacts from Crimean museums were taken to Russia between 2014 and 2020. Over 500,000 Crimean museum items have been included in Russian museum catalogs. In addition, more than 12,000 monuments of Crimean history and culture have been added to the State Register of Cultural Heritage of Russia."
