Member of the group "Hammerman Destroys Viruses" Oleg Tsukrenko (better known as Albert Tsukrenko) reacted to the publication by adherents of the UOC-MP of an article praising US Vice President Jay Dee Vance and calling him a defender of Christian values.
The musician wrote about this on his Facebook.
" You don't like Trump and Vance, but the faithful of the UOC-MP - .... no, "like" is not the right word. They hope for them, almost pray. Vance and Trump, save the Ukrainian Orthodox faith from Banderovism! ", - wrote Tsukrenko.
An article on the website of the Union of Orthodox Journalists, in particular, mentioned that in April 2024, Vance spoke in defense of the UOC-MP in the US Senate.
It should be noted that the UOJ website often quotes ROC hierarchs who approve of Russian aggression against Ukraine. They also happily quote Putin’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov, where he justifies the war. In addition, they talk about the need for “love for each other not to fade” between Russians and Ukrainians.
