Ukrzaliznytsia's online systems have been subjected to a large-scale targeted cyberattack. The restoration of all systems is currently ongoing.
This was reported by the press service of the state-owned company.
"The enemy failed in the key thing: the movement of trains is stable, they run clearly without delays, and all operational processes of movement are debugged in a backup format. The railway continues to move despite physical attacks on the infrastructure, and it cannot be stopped even by the most vile cyberattacks, " Ukrzaliznytsia noted.
According to the press service, since Ukrzaliznytsia has previously been the target of enemy cyberattacks, the company has implemented backup protocols.
"The latest attack was very systemic, non-trivial and multi-level, therefore, before a full restoration from "backups", specialists from UZ, many involved partners and the SBU cyber department must thoroughly test the services for possible vulnerabilities," Ukrzaliznytsia noted.
It is reported that online ticket sales remain unavailable at this time and offline operations will continue through March 24.
We would like to remind you that while working on restoring online services, Ukrzaliznytsia has temporarily opened ticket sales at station ticket offices for all international flights departing on March 23 and 24. These tickets are available at all international station ticket offices from 10:00 on March 23 until the systems are restored.
