Ukrzaliznytsia, partners, and leading experts continue to restore online services after the cyberattack. A backup infrastructure has been deployed in a secure environment - components have been prepared for restarting critical systems from backup copies.
This is stated in a message on the UZ Facebook page.
"A backup infrastructure has been deployed in a secure environment, all components have been prepared for direct restart from backup copies of critical systems, thorough diagnostics of backups and identification of all potentially harmful elements are underway. Complex connections between different systems are being restored," UZ explains.
"We are grateful for the close cooperation of the Cyber Department of the SBU, the State Center for Cyber Defense, the Government Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-UA) under the State Service for Special Communications, " the message says, also mentioning the Kyivstar IT team, which has already undergone recovery after a large-scale attack. - ... its experience helps in this difficult case.
The Ukrzaliznytsia team claims that everything possible is being done to restore online sales as soon as possible:
"Meanwhile, ticket offices at all stations continue to operate in an enhanced mode with extended schedules (for example, 18 ticket offices were opened in Kyiv yesterday instead of the usual ones), and all trains continue to run strictly according to the schedule. We apologize, thank you for your understanding, and we will keep you informed of the restoration!".
As previously reported by "Apostrophe", the online systems of "Ukrzaliznytsia" were subjected to a large-scale targeted cyberattack . The restoration of all systems is currently ongoing.
