On the night of April 4, Ukrainian air defenses eliminated 42 "Shahed" attack UAVs in the sky, which the Russian Federation used for the attack. Another 22 enemy simulator drones were lost in the field without consequences.

In total, to strike Ukraine, Russia used 78 Shahed attack UAVs and simulator drones of various types, which it launched from the following directions: Bryansk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Kursk.
Anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine were involved in repelling the air attack.
