Footage of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' breakthrough into the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation has appeared online. The footage shows soldiers from the 225th Separate Assault Regiment (225th ASSR), which was previously a battalion but has been expanded.
The corresponding video was shared by 225 OSH in Telegram.
In the footage, Ukrainian military personnel in armored vehicles make a breakthrough into the Belgorod region, overcoming several lines of defensive structures.
As noted in the 225th OSH, after the offensive on the Kursk region, the Russians strengthened their borders in other areas, spending several billion rubles, but the efforts were in vain.
"After our operation in Kursk, the Russians 'drawn conclusions': they strengthened all borders to prevent a second breakthrough elsewhere. In the Belgorod region, they spent over 10 billion rubles on 'modern and reliable fortifications'... What's wrong with your face, Russians?" the report says.
As Apostrophe wrote, on April 7, President Volodymyr Zelensky officially confirmed the conduct of an operation by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation .
Information about hostilities in the territory of the new Russian region began to appear about a month ago. Thus, Russian channels announced on March 18 that the Ukrainian military had begun to pull equipment and personnel to the section of the border where the Belgorod and Kursk regions border. Later, due to the continued offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, evacuation of people there began.
