The general boasted of the large number of people willing to mobilize in the GUR

Among those who want to sign an “18-24” contract, there are many who want to become scouts.

This was told to “Apostrophe” by a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, Major General Vadim Skibitsky.

“We have a lot of people who came from 22 on a contract from 18. And now they are leaving. We have a powerful recruiting campaign, our own recruiting center on Lesya Ukrainka Boulevard. There are a lot of people who want to,” he said.

Skibitsky clarified that applicants undergo rigorous selection.

“The requirements are the most difficult. First of all, everyone passes a polygraph. If you don’t pass the polygraph, that’s it, you’re not accepted… This includes relatives. Other issues are like drugs. There’s a very serious selection here,” the publication’s interlocutor emphasized.

We remind you that on February 11, 2025, the "18-24" contract project was officially launched at the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

This is a voluntary initiative for Ukrainians aged 18-24 who are ready to join the Defense Forces. Young people are offered positions such as rifleman, sniper rifleman, rifleman-medic, assistant grenade launcher, senior grenade launcher, scout, senior scout, machine gunner, machine gunner-reconnaissance, senior gunner, scout-gunner, etc.
