In Ukraine, the commander of the 76th Guards Airborne Assault Division (also known as the Pskov Division), Colonel Abdulaziz Shikhabidov, was eliminated.
This is reported by Russian media.
According to Z-publics, Shikhabidov has already been buried at the Troyekurovsky cemetery in Moscow.
"Wow! That was a big goal. I was running away. Well, with May 9 coming up. Kobzon will sing something special," commented Ukrainian military blogger Kyrylo Sazonov.
The 76th Guards Airborne Assault Division has been involved in the war since 2014. Its mercenaries participated in the seizure of Crimea, as well as in the battles in the Donetsk region, as became known after the mass funeral of the paratroopers. After the full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, it was the Pskov Division that stood in Bucha.
Shikhabidov took a direct part in the open military invasion of Ukraine. From February to April 2022, he commanded the 51st Parachute Regiment as part of the "East" group of troops. The area of operations is the western part of the Kyiv region.
