In the occupied part of the Luhansk region, 12 km from the front line, a new Russian complex "Gunner-2", which includes 7 UAVs "Grenade" of various modifications with a range of 10, 15, 25 and 100 km. was noticed for the first time during the fighting in the Donbas. This is stated in the OSCE SMM report №272 / 2020 dated 14 November.
The "Gunner-2" complex is designed to perform reconnaissance and special tasks, in particular, to provide coordinates of the targets of artillery and MLRS divisions.
According to InformNapalm, photos were received from the UAV, which confirmed the use of the latest Russian complex "Gunner-2" in Donbas. 3 boxes for storage and transportation of the UAVs were also seen near the control station.
The complex consists of:
- ground control station;
- UAV types "Grenade-1", "Grenade-2", "Grenade-3" and "Grenade-4" (as part of the complex seven UAVs).
A distinct visual feature of the complex "Gunner-2" is its location on the basis of the truck KamAZ-4350 (wheel formula 4X4), while the Russian complex SB-341V "Leer-3" (which was repeatedly recorded in the combat zone in eastern Ukraine) based on KAMAZ-5350 (wheel formula 6X6).
