As of December 11, around 170 settlements were left without electricity in Ukraine due to bad weather. According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the first (yellow) level of danger has been declared in the country considering the worsening weather conditions.
According to emergency service, rain, wet snow, and gusts de-energized 79 settlements in Kyiv and the region, 58 in the Zhytomyr region, and 36 in the Chernivtsi region. Servicemen also warned that at night and the morning of December 11 the roads are expected to be in ice in the northern and central regions of Ukraine. The first level of danger (yellow) is declared.
According to the agency, serious traffic disruptions may stem from weather conditions. On December 11, Kyiv has already seen fatal accidents.
