In Kyiv, a man was arrested after estimated UAH 2,5 million in cocaine seized

In Kyiv, a foreigner was arrested carrying drugs. Ukrainian police seized 300 grams of cocaine forth 2.5 million hryvnias (88.0000 US dollars), as was reported by the Ukrainian police on their official Facebook page.

Police found out that the 48-year-old foreigner had taken 300 grams of cocaine to the capital for sale. The value of the drugs is estimated at about 2.5 million hryvnias on the "black market". The man was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.

The detainee was informed about the suspicion of committing a criminal offense under Part 3 of Article 307 (Illegal production, manufacture, purchase, storage, transportation, shipment, or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogs in especially large amounts) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The perpetrator faces up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property.

As was reported by ‘Apostrophe’, Ukraine's Security Service seized 53.4 kg of cocaine worth 200 million Hryvnia (7.4 million U.S. dollars) in the Black Sea port of Yuzhny in the Odesa region in the south of the country.
