On Friday, February 19, in St. Petersburg (Russia), a man stabbed an employee of the consulate of Ukraine.
According to the St. Petersburg TV channel, this was reported in the press service of the regional Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
It was noted that near the consulate building there was a police squad, the attacker was immediately detained and taken to the police station for trial. The victim was delivered to the ambulance and his condition was not reported yet.
According to the camera footage from the scene, the man was standing on the doorstep and waiting for the door of the consulate to open. When the consulate employee opened the door the man attacked the employee. After that the employee walked away from the entrance to the building, tossing a stack of papers toward the consulate.
