The train, that Russian occupants shelled on Wednesday evening, December 26, in Kherson, arrived in time to Kyiv the next day.
This is reported in the Telegram-channel "Ukrzaliznytsia".
Passengers were transferred to another train at an intermediate station. Food train "Ukrzaliznytsia" provided Kherson residents with 320 portions of food, including kits for children, so that they could have breakfast before arriving in the capital.
"We are glad to see all our passengers and train crew in Kyiv safe and sound. We continue to work", - emphasized in "Ukrzaliznytsya".
We will remind, the day before Russian troops shelled the railway station and the evacuation train in Kherson. During the massive shelling about 140 civilians were waiting for the departure of the evacuation train at the railway station. Police officers who were on duty at the station urgently started evacuating people. They managed to get them to safe places.
