During the battle for Chasiv Yar, Ukrainian Defense Forces successfully counterattacked and recaptured the village of Kalynivka north of the city from Russian troops.
This is reported by Bild.
"In the attack on Chasiv Yar west of Bakhmut, the Russian army is using a double-strike tactic. The Russian Armed Forces directly attack the Canal neighborhood in the east of the city and also flank it. At the end of April, the Russian occupiers advanced in the south and reached the Siverskyi Donets-Donbas Canal. In the north, they recently captured the village of Kalynivka and also reached the Canal. At the same time, the Canal neighborhood has been completely destroyed, but remains under the control of Ukrainian defenders," the statement said.
However, the Armed Forces successfully counterattacked and recaptured Kalynivka from the occupiers.
"Ukrainian troops recaptured most of Kalynivka and pushed the Russian occupiers away from the Canal near Chasiv Yar," the statement reads.
Earlier, Apostrophe reported that Russia attacked Ukraine with missiles and Shaheds overnight.
