Ukrainians distinguished themselves with a successful special operation in the Belgorod region of Russia

Special operations forces, in cooperation with the Defense Ministry's GUR, conducted a successful special operation and destroyed 4 enemy helicopters - two Ka-52s and two Mi-8s.

This was reported on the page of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Military Special Operations Command.

"4 helicopters were destroyed behind enemy lines. Special operations forces, in cooperation with the Defense Ministry's GUR, Missile Forces, and artillery, destroyed two enemy Ka-52 helicopters and two Mi-8s in the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation," the report notes.

The SSO explains what role these helicopters played for the Russians:

"The Ka-52 is an attack helicopter that the enemy uses for reconnaissance and attacks on targets on the ground. Mi-8 transport helicopters are used by enemy troops to transport personnel and cargo, as well as to support ground operations."

It is specified that all helicopters were destroyed by missile strikes in the enemy's rear, where the enemy had created a jumping platform for aircraft - a camouflaged position for rapid movement of aircraft or for surprise attacks on the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine.

As previously reported by "Apostrophe", the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine revealed the details of the strike on Engels . The strike on the airfield in the Saratov region on the night of March 20 was carried out by units of the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU), the Special Operations Command (SSO) in cooperation with other parts of the Defense Forces.
