On Monday, March 24, unknown assailants attacked a special correspondent for the online media outlet "Svoi. Kryvyi Rih" in Kryvyi Rih. The victim, Serhiy, suffered a broken nose, ribs, and a concussion.
This was reported on the Telegram channel "Svoi. Kryvyi Rih".
For IMI, the founder of the media outlet and now a soldier in the National Guard of Ukraine, Oleksiy Taymurzin, told that Serhiy had a broken nose and ribs, and also suffered a concussion. The correspondent lost consciousness several times in the ambulance.
"Serhiy, our volunteer special correspondent, was attacked by unknown individuals. Serhiy went into a store with his family. Two men approached him and began threatening him: 'F**k you all. You, your family, and your entire editorial staff. Go, look around. You didn't go to those 'ritualists'." Serhiy left the store to talk to them in the absence of his family, and they attacked him. They broke his nose, crushed his retina... In addition, he has broken ribs, a concussion... he lost consciousness seven times in the ambulance," says Taymurzin.
The founder of the publication links the attack to the professional activities of the media. In his commentary, he mentioned, in particular, the recent investigation "Morgue in the Garage." This thesis of his is probably confirmed by the words of the attackers about "ritualists."
"Svoi. Kryvyi Rih" wrote that one of the attackers in the photo had a criminal record and is currently in voluntary abandonment of the unit.
Regarding the incident, senior communications inspector of the Kryvyi Rih District Police Department, Angelina Kradozhon, stated that law enforcement officers have registered the fact of bodily harm and will investigate the circumstances. The victim and witnesses are currently being interviewed.
As Apostrophe previously reported, a clash between an aggressive couple and patrol police officers occurred on Vokzalna Square in Kyiv.
