On the night of April 2, Russia launched a massive attack on Kharkiv with drones. Most of the hits were recorded in the industrial zone, fires broke out in the areas, and there were casualties, including children.

The Russians carried out the attack around 1 a.m. Dmytro Chubenko, the speaker of the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office , said he counted 13 to 15 hits in the Kholodnohirskyi district.
"We will be able to say the exact number after working out all the addresses of the applicants and inspecting the places of the events. Most of the hits were in the industrial zone. As a result of the explosions, fires are still ongoing in various warehouse and production facilities - high-rise and single-story. The area of the fire is about 2,000 m²," said Dmytro Chubenko.
He clarified that various types of civilian enterprises rented premises and carried out their activities at these enterprises.
"As for the injured, as of 3 a.m. we have information about eight injured people: four women aged 40 to 51, a 53-year-old man, a 16-year-old girl, a nine-month-old baby, and a seven-year-old boy - all of them have an acute reaction to stress," he points out.
The State Emergency Service also reported that two civilian enterprises in the Kholodnohirsk district were hit. Three fires broke out in industrial buildings with areas of 1,000, 800, and 70 square meters.
Rescuers also noted that 8 people were injured in the shelling, including 3 children. All suffered acute stress reactions. In addition, nearby private residential buildings were damaged.
"Currently, the elimination of the consequences of the enemy attack is ongoing, in which 89 rescuers and 29 units of SES equipment are involved from the State Emergency Service. The dog and pyrotechnic teams of the State Emergency Service are also involved. 19 units of equipment and 49 employees from the city's municipal services," the press service reported.
