Poles completely blocked truck traffic in four directions: what checkpoints are working

Polish protesters continue to block the Polish-Ukrainian border - as of March 12, they blocked truck traffic to Poland in four directions.

This was announced by the spokesman for the State Border Guard Service, Andriy Demchenko, Ukrinform reports.

According to him, these are "Shehyni", "Yahodyn", "Uhryniv", and "Ustyluh" checkpoints.

"As of today, the blockade is being carried out at 5 checkpoints. Today, Polish protesters did not allow trucks to move towards Poland in the direction of "Shehyni", "Yahodyn", "Uhryniv" and "Ustyluh" checkpoints at all," he said.

It is worth noting that Polish farmers allow an extremely small number of vehicles from Poland to Ukraine through "Yahodyn" and "Shehyni" checkpoints. Thus, 50 and 30 cars crossed the border over the past day, respectively.

At the same time, trucks can pass almost unhindered at "Hrushiv-Budomezh" and "Krakivets-Korchova" checkpoints.

Demchenko emphasized that as of the morning of March 12, about 1,500 trucks were standing in queues at the five aforementioned checkpoints in Poland. Most of them were at "Yagodyn" checkpoint.

The spokesman reminded that on the night of March 9, Polish farmers stopped the blockade in the direction of "Korchova-Krakivets" checkpoint. However, this is probably only a temporary situation, as, according to the current information from the Polish side, Polish farmers plan to resume the protest on March 13. As of this morning, the queue in this direction is about 500 trucks. Cars and buses are free to cross the border, and there are no traffic restrictions for these categories of vehicles.

Earlier "Apostrophe" reported that Poland may impose restrictions on imports of Ukrainian vegetables, sugar, rapeseed and oil.
