In Syria, Turkish forces target Russian helicopter in al-Hasakah countryside amid Turkey-backed factions bombardment

Turkish forces have targeted with an anti-helicopters missile a Russian helicopter while hovering on al-Derdarah village in north Tal Tamr in Al-Hasakah countryside. However, they failed to hit it.

This was reported by the press service of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR).

The Russian helicopter reacted by firing thermal balloons and withdrew from the region which coincided with heavy rocket fire by the national army factions on the same village, but no casualties have been reported.

Yesterday, SOHR activists reported sporadic bombardments by the Turkish forces and their proxies on villages in Tel Tamr countryside in al-Hasakah, where several artillery shells hit the Tel Kifji, Tel Jumaa, al-Dardara, and Um al-Kaif villages, as well as Um al-Kaif silos, which caused material damage.

On the other hand, Tel Tamr Council Forces and the Assyrian Council which are affiliated to SDF reacted to the Turkish bombardment by shelling the source of the fire. However, no casualties were reported.
