Russia's Minister of Energy, Alexander Novak, said that Russia and Ukraine had agreed that mutual claims would be nullified on January 1 and property arrests would be removed according to decisions on court suits, as was reported by RIA Novosti news agency.
An agreement to waive the claims that do not yet have a final decision has become part of the protocol on gas cooperation, which Russia and Ukraine signed on December 20.
To continue the transit, Gazprom will conclude an inter-operator agreement with the Ukrainian GTS Operator and an agreement with Naftogaz on the reservation of transportation capacities.
It is assumed that next year 65 billion cubic meters of gas will be reserved for transit. In 2021-2024, it will be 40 billion cubic meters each year - with a competitive tariff.
As for the settlement of legal disputes, Gazprom has agreed to pay Naftogaz 2.9 billion dollars on the decisions of the Stockholm arbitration, and the Ukrainian government is to sign a settlement agreement with Gazprom for the withdrawal of antitrust claims of 7.4 billion dollars.
