The IMF said what will happen to the hryvnia exchange rate: a forecast was published

The International Monetary Fund predicts that the hryvnia will be getting cheaper against the dollar until 2024.

This is evidenced by the April review of the IMF.

According to IMF forecasts, in 2019, the hryvnia exchange rate will fall to 28.66 UAH/USD, in 2020 - up to 29,92 UAH/USD. The Fund suggests that in 2021 Ukrainians will have to pay 30.5 UAH for one dollar, in 2022 - 31.01 UAH, and in 2023 - 31.47 UAH. In 2024, hryvnia will weaken to the dollar up to 31.94 UAH, the document says.

Earlier it was reported that the IMF predicts a reduction in the national debt of Ukraine to GDP in 2018 and at the end of this year - to 62%. According to IMF forecasts, Ukraine's GDP will grow by 2.7% in 2019.

Today, according to the NBU, the exchange rate of dollar against hryvnia rose by 7 cents – up to 26.76 UAH. The state budget of 2019 is based on the forecast of the average annual hryvnia exchange rate of 29.3 UAH/ USD.
