December 6, on the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, at the National Historical and Architectural Museum "Kyiv Fortress" in the capital, took place an opening of the monument to TRO fighter and Hero of Ukraine, Oleksandr Macievskyy, who was shot by Russian invaders for the words "Glory to Ukraine".
This reported by Ukrinform.
The authors of the monument Oleg Tsos and Albina Safonova said that they worked on the design for more than two months. They used plasticine, clay, silicone and computer technology to create an exact sculpture. The sculptor noted that it was very important for them to capture the look of the killed Hero.
"We were in a great hurry to open the monument on this exact date. We are proud that it was us who created the Symbol of Invincibility. It is very important! Many people visit the museum, including military personnel, students, children, and the elderly. It is very important for us to remember the price of this victory", - told Oksana Novikova-Vigran, General Director of the Kyiv Fortress NHAM.
The relatives of the fallen Hero, wife Julia Matsievskaya and mother Praskovia Matsievskaya-Demchuk, attended the opening ceremony.
