The news broke about the case initiated by the NABU against the speaker of the Rada

The National Anti-corruption Bureau of Ukraine opened a case against the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Andriy Parubiy on suspicion of misuse of budgetary funds.

This was reported by the press-service of NABU.

"On April 10, 2019 the authorized person of NABU according to the resolution of the investigative judge of Solomianskyi district court of Kiev of April 2, 2019 entered data in the Unified register of pre-judicial investigations on signs of the crime provided by part 1 Art. 364 and part 1 Art. 210 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine," the message stated.

Thus, the pre-trial investigation is being conducted regarding the deliberate abuse of power or official position in order to obtain any unlawful benefit contrary to the interests of the service, as well as the misuse of budgetary funds, the implementation of budget expenditures or the provision of loans from the budget without established budgetary appointments or with their excess.

In the resolution of court of April 2 published in the Unified state register of judgments, Solomianskyi district court of Kyiv obliged NABU to add to Unified register of pre-judicial investigations the data upon possible misuse of budgetary funds by Andriy Parubiy.

Accorfing to"Apostrophe", the newly elected President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Rada Andriy Parubiy with a request to hold his inauguration on May 19.
