Donald Trump’s presidential campaign has hit Manchester, New Hampshire, holding a rally for the President’s supporters. In 2016, he lost the state to Hillary Clinton by an extremely narrow margin of 0.4%.
Not changing his favorite rhetoric, Trump championed himself on the country’s great economy. The economy has always been one of the President’s strongest appeals to the working class – Trump’s main electoral base. “I won the election, the markets went up thousands of points, things started happening,” he stated proudly. “If, for some reason, I were not to have won the election, these markets would have crashed.”
Despite growing fears of recession and trade war with China, President Trump assured his supporters they have no choice but to vote for him. “You have no choice but to vote for me, because your 401(k), everything is going to be down the tubes,” he said during the Manchester rally, “Whether you love me or hate me, you have got to vote for me.”
The 2020 United States presidential election is to take place on November 3, 2020.
