According to the information revealed after Volodymyr Zelensky and Vladimir Putin's phone call on December 31, a new prisoner exchange between Ukraine and Russia may occur later this winter.
"During a phone call on December 31 Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky and President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin agreed that the dialogue on future lists for the prisoner exchange has to start right away - in January 2020," Zelensky's press secretary Yulia Mendel stated.
Until the lists are agreed upon, it's impossible to reveal any names or numbers.
"We hope, however, that with fast work and technical opportunities the future exchange will take place in winter 2020," Mendel added.
