During his visit on Monday, February 3, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will discuss business relations between Turkey and Ukraine as part of the High-Level Strategic Council between the two countries.
“First of all, I want to note that the business component between Ukraine and Turkey is insufficient. 4 billion dollars in trade is nothing. We need to increase this number and promote business, having a more productive cooperation. That’s a priority,” an MP of the Justice and Development Party, Yıldırım Tuğrul Türkeş, stated.
According to the MP, the countries will also discuss a political aspect of their cooperation.
“Political issues are the second priority. Turkey and Ukraine have a good relationship. We, however, have a certain kind of relationship with the Russian Federation. We are trying to assume a key role in solving some issues. And we will continue to work in this direction,” he added.
