The trial of Giuliani associates: new date for Parnas and Fruman to face federal court

During a hearing on Monday, Judge Paul Oetken scheduled a federal court trial of Lev Parnas, Igor Fruman, David Correia and Andrey Kukushkin for October 5 – a month prior to the general presidential election, as reported by CNN.

The Giuliani associates were indicted for breaking campaign laws.

Lev Parnas has lately been in the media spotlight, releasing new documents related to the Ukraine pressure campaign. According to the Soviet-born American businessman, Donald Trump canceled his September visit to Warsaw because Volodymyr Zelensky failed to announce the Biden probe.

“He used the excuse of the hurricane, but it wasn’t the hurricane. It was because he [Trump] was angry that Zelensky still didn’t make any attempt to make any announcement before he was going to meet him,” Parnas told MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow in January.

He knew it was the case because he “spoke to Rudy about it every day”, aiding in digging up dirt on the Biden family. Lev Parnas wanted to testify in the Senate.

Another recently indicted associate of Rudy Giuliani, Igor Fruman, taped President Donald Trump calling for the firing of Ukraine Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch.

A voice, sounding exactly like Donald Trump’s, was recorded repeatedly saying, “Get rid of her!”

"Get her out tomorrow. I don't care. Get her out tomorrow. Take her out. OK? Do it," he added.

The trial, estimated to last two weeks, is likely to add fuel to the last month of the 2020 presidential campaign.
