“The time has come for concrete proposals”: Ukrainian-Georgian negotiations

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky had a phone conversation with the President of Georgia Salome Zourabichvili. The parties discussed the escalation of the security situation in Donbas, emphasizing the dangerous tendency to increase the number of ceasefire violations and the number of deceased the press service of the President of Ukraine reports.

The interlocutors exchanged views on the current security situation in the Black Sea region, in particular in the context of the temporary illegal occupation of the Crimean peninsula. "Indeed, the time has come for concrete proposals for Ukraine and Georgia to obtain a NATO MAP and a plan to join the European Union. Consolidation of efforts and solidarity are crucial today," Volodymyr Zelensky said.

The President of Ukraine thanked Georgia and personally Salome Zourabichvili for the continued support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders. Salome Zourabichvili stressed that Ukraine and Georgia enjoy a historic mutual understanding and support each other in the issue of peace.
