Bezugla is only a tool: what's actually hidden behind the attacks on Zaluzhny

Ukrainian parliamentarian Mariana Bezugla is only a tool in her statements about the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Valeriy Zaluzhny. The reason comes from the Office of the President.

This was stated by the first Deputy Secretary of the NSDC in 2008-2011 Stepan Gavrish on the air of Apostrophe TV.

"Bezugla is only a tool. Behind her is certainly the President's Office. This situation has already gained the signs of a crisis that is being investigated even outside of Ukraine. It is a manifestation of the areas between the leadership, which has no experience in managing the country and the military, responsible for the war," - said Gavrish.

He believes that the OP is pushing the President to these conflicts and the head of state should analyze the situation.

"And this is a benefit to Moscow. This could be a deep FSB operation that pushes inexperienced politicians to conflicts. There is nothing better for them than to fire Zaluzhny, Naev and other generals. The fact that the president is being threatened by Maidan-3 is also a manifestation of this operation. It impacts the support of Ukraine because it raises doubts about Ukraine's ability to defend its national interests. Especially it is damaging for discussions in the U.S. Congress about the aid for Ukraine. That is why the president's attitude to this conflict should be reviewed," Gavrish said.

The ex-officer focused on the fact that the conflict must be completed and the people involved in it eliminated.

"Including Bezugla. Eliminate her from the political party and show that the political leadership is acting in cooperation with the military. On the second year of war we have civilian administration of assistants and consultants of ex-parliamentarian, who escaped to Russia. They have no experience and are trying to use the president to manage military events. And there is the General Staff, which is responsible. And until a civil-military administration is created, until representatives of the military appear in the OP, this situation cannot change," Gavrish said.

He noted that the split in the Ukrainian leadership is a priority task for the FSB.

"They cannot overcome the defense and are trying to break the unity within the country. Zaluzhny is not involved in the political and is treated abroad exceptionally as a military commander of the highest level, which are few in the world. And the authorities should allow the military to do its business and make its own plans. But not to share them with Mariana Bezugla," Gavrish summarized.

Most of Ukrainians believe that if Commander-in-Chief of the UAF Valeriy Zaluzhny will be removed from his post, as called Bezugla, it will make the situation in the Armed Forces worse.
