US Senate adopts important decision on aid to Ukraine: final vote remains

US senators have passed a motion to stop the debate on the bill on allocating aid to Ukraine and Israel.

This was reported by the Ukrainian Ambassador to the USA, Oksana Markarova, on Facebook.

"The next step was the adoption of the Motion to Invoke Cloture on the updated text of the bill HR 815 (Legislative Instrument of the National Security Act of 2024)," the Ambassador points out.

The report also notes that 66 senators (out of the required 60) supported the bill, while 33 senators voted against it.

The final vote for the bill, despite the cessation of debate, may take place on February 14. If approved in the Senate, it will go to the U.S. House of Representatives for consideration.

It is worth recalling that this bill provides for budgetary allocations of more than $95 billion, of which $60 billion are proposed to be allocated to support Ukraine and $14 billion to support Israel.

Earlier "Apostrophe" reported that Pentagon warned of consequences of weakening aid to Ukraine.
