The U.S. House of Representatives unveils a bill on an aid package for Ukraine: what it contains

The text of a bill on aid to Ukraine has been published on the website of the US House of Representatives.

It is reported by The Hill.

The main points of the document:

  • the amount of aid will be $61 billion;
  • the US President is recommended to provide Ukraine with long-range ATACMS missiles;
  • The State Department and the Pentagon are to provide a support strategy within 45 days of the document's adoption;
  • the Head of State must agree on the return of the provided assistance;
  • confiscation of Russian assets to cover the costs.

More than $23 billion of these funds will be used to replenish U.S. weapons stockpiles, and another $13.8 billion will be used to purchase new weapons systems. The bill also provides for the allocation of $7.85 billion in loans by September 30.
