Hungarian PM Viktor Orban has said that his country is the only one in the EU whose citizens are dying in Ukraine.
He said this in an interview to Il Giornale.
"There are Hungarian citizens from the Hungarian minority in Ukraine who are fighting alongside the Ukrainian army and dying. We are the only EU country whose citizens are dying in Ukraine," the Hungarian PM said.
Answering a journalist's question about the Hungarian position on the war in Ukraine, Orban said that there is no doubt that Russia started the war, but a diplomatic solution to the military conflict is needed.
"We have to ask ourselves how to act. We are at a crossroads: either to isolate the conflict and find a diplomatic way, or to go deeper into the war," he said.
Earlier, Apostrophe wrote that Belgium called to deprive Hungary of its voting rights in the European Union.
