When will the Coalition hand over F-16 fighters to Ukraine: US General gives the deadline

Following a meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group held in Brussels on June 13, members of the air defence coalition indicated that they plan to provide Ukraine with F-16s this summer.

According to an Ukrinform correspondent, this was stated by the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Charles Brown.

During a briefing following the meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group, Brown assured that every effort is being made to deliver F-16s to Ukraine this summer:

"We are working in an online format to make sure we have everything they (Ukraine - "Apostrophe") need. Our goal is to provide these F-16s this summer."

The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff pointed out that the United States and other members of the fighter jet coalition continue to train Ukrainian pilots and provide other types of support, including aircraft equipment.

"It's not just about having these F-16s, it's also about understanding that they have to be equipped with everything needed and the technical staff has to be supplied and trained," he commented.
