Italy may transfer long-range Storm Shadow missiles to Ukraine

Italy may transfer not only the previously announced Samp-T air defense system, but also a batch of long-range Storm Shadow missiles as part of the new military aid package.

This was reported by the Italian newspaper Fatto Quotidiano.

It is noted that the ninth military aid package for Ukraine may include not only the Samp-T air defense system, but also an additional batch of Storm Shadow missiles. The aid package is to be presented to Parliament by Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto by the end of the month.

Citing sources familiar with the situation, the publication reports that the long-range Storm Shadow missiles are potentially "capable of hitting Russian territory."

It is worth noting that the long-range Storm Shadow missiles are rather stealthy air-to-ground missiles in terms of radar visibility. This is a joint development of France and the United Kingdom, and the missiles are capable of flying over 560 kilometers.

Earlier, we wrote that Slovenia secretly transferred arms to Ukraine when supplies from the United States stopped.
