There is no sense for Ukraine to restore nuclear weapons and there is no way to use it.
The adviser to Volodymyr Zelensky on security and defense Ivan Aparshyn spoke about it in an interview to "Apostrophe".
He answered a question of journalists whether Ukraine would be able to restore tactical nuclear arms.
"Today I would not advise to do it. Well, imagine we'd have nuclear weapons. Would we have used it in Crimea in 2014? We can recover a nuclear weapon, I believe that we have so much potential, but once we start doing that, we will suffer such sanctions that we will have nothing left," - Aparshyn said.
According to him, Ukraine is a guarantor of fulfillment of obligations.
"Today, Ukraine clearly fulfills its obligations to reduce the conventional armed forces in Europe. We have war in the countru we have an aggressor, and Ukraine fulfills all obligations ratified by the Verkhovna Rada. But if we take on certain obligations, then we want to see the same partnership from the other party. Otherwise, I will look for other ways to protect my territory. I'll find them. And I will not give you the territory any more," said Volodymyr Zelensky's adviser on security and defense.
