The first solemn meeting of the new convocation of the Verkhovna Rada will be held on August 29.
This decision was taken today, on August 9, at a meeting of Preparatory Deputy Group.
To recap, the day before, on August 8, the speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Andrii Parubiy made the decision on convocation of the first meeting of Preparatory Deputy Group which included newly elected people's deputies. There were 17 deputies "Servant of people", 3 deputies - from "Oppositional platform - For life", 2 deputies - from "Batkivshchyna", 2 deputies - from "European solidarity", 1 deputy from the party "Voice".
The Head of the preparatory group, as well as the party "Servant of people" Dmytro Razumkov proposed the date of August 29 and put it to the vote. The majority of the group voted in favour of this date.
It is known that representatives of "Servant of people" want to reduce the number of committees in the Parliament to 22, as well as to reduce the Privatization Commission. The titles are expected to be ready Tuesday, then the next meeting of the group will take place.
According to "Apostrophe", earlier the representative of the President in the Cabinet of Ministers Andrii Herus declared that, most likely, the first meeting of new - the ninth convocation of the Verkhovna Rada - will take place on September.
