The U.S. Senate has passed a bill on military aid to Ukraine. Some weapons are expected to arrive soon. This American assistance can turn the temporarily occupied peninsula from a fortress into a trap for the Russians - the strike can be complex.
Mykola Malomuzh, General of the Army of Ukraine, Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine in 2005-2010, spoke about the prospects of military action in the direction of Crimea on Apostrophe TV.
He noted that military operations in the south could include, among other things, blocking logistics routes from the east and south, as well as neutralizing the Kerch Bridge:
"Deploying military operations in the south is already a matter for the General Staff..blocking the logistics route from the east and south, including the neutralization of the Kerch bridge, we strike with ATACAMS, Storm Shadow, SCALP-EG and our systems - missiles, drones, both airborne and surface and underwater...".
Malomuzh also mentions the ships and boats that Britain is sending. He points out that these could be "complex strikes," in particular on the Black Sea Fleet, which is still there, on airfields and other military facilities.
"On the Black Sea Fleet, which is still there, on all the launchers, including the S-400 Triumph, on the four airfields that are there, and on the Shahed installations on all the capes," Malomuzh adds, noting that in this case Crimea could turn from a fortress into a trap: "It is clear that in this situation Crimea is not turning into a defense facility, a fortress, but into a trap. There will be panic there."
Mykola Malomuzh notes that the situation will change when systematic active actions in all directions begin:
"When systematic, powerful operations in all directions begin, then the situation will change. And some people are already predicting that it will be a staged heavy offensive on the Crimean peninsula."
Earlier, we wrote that Russia has already lost a third of the Black Sea Fleet.
