Ukrainian journalist Denis Kazansky drew attention to the fact that Telegram owner Pavel Durov has probably begun cooperating with the Kremlin: on the night of April 7, a number of channels covering the situation in the Kursk region of Russia were removed.
He announced this on his channel, publishing a list of deleted resources.
In particular, Telegram deleted the "VChK-OGPU" channel, which published denunciations of Russian security forces, as repeatedly demanded by Roskomnadzor.
All of the channels were listed in a ruling by Moscow's Tagansky Court, which fined Telegram in early December for failing to remove them. Last night, Telegram removed almost all of the channels from that ruling, which listed more than 20 projects.
It was previously reported that Telegram founder Pavel Durov will begin disclosing the IP addresses and phone numbers of some users to "relevant authorities" for violating the rules.
