Zelenskyy on the missile that killed Kyiv residents: most of its components, unfortunately, were manufactured in the USA

The missile that killed Kyiv residents on April 24 consisted of 116 components imported from other countries, most of them manufactured by American companies.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this on social media.

He spoke about the completion of rescue operations at the site of one of the Russian strikes on Ukraine during a massive attack that killed 12 people and injured 90.

As for the missile used in the attack, all details are currently being clarified. It is known that the missile came from North Korea.

According to the head of state, due to insufficient pressure on Russia, it imports missiles and other weapons for use in Europe, and produces them for the DPRK.

"The lack of pressure on North Korea and its accomplices makes it possible to produce, in particular, such ballistic missiles. The missile that killed the people of Kyiv contained at least 116 components imported from other countries, and most of them, unfortunately, were produced by American companies," Zelenskyy said.

He emphasized that any war can quickly involve different actors, and any country that is a victim of aggression is defending itself not from one person, but from a group of accomplices. In this regard, it is important that defense be based on collective efforts.

"Ukraine is grateful to everyone in the world who helps protect the lives of our people, supplies us with air defense systems and missiles for them. We thank everyone who maintains pressure on Russia for this war, on its accomplices. We insist that Russia must immediately and unconditionally agree to a complete ceasefire," he said.

The President recalled that Ukraine agreed to the US proposal for silence in the sky, at sea, and on the front 45 days ago. Russia was offered to continue the silence in order to stop strikes at least on civilian objects, but it rejected the proposal.

"That is why this cannot be solved without pressure. Pressure is needed on Russia. Stopping the killings is the first priority," the head of state emphasized.

As "Apostrophe" wrote, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, during the attack on the capital of Ukraine, Russia targeted the civilian infrastructure of a densely populated area.
