As a result of a night attack of " Shaheds" in southern Ukraine, there were hits on infrastructure and farms in Mykolayiv, Odesa and Kherson regions. No casualties and victims were registered.
About this on air "Apostrophe" TV told Natalia Gumenyuk, the Head of the Joint Coordination Press Center of the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine.
"The night was very disturbing, we had to repel a very powerful massive drone attack, that the enemy launched in our area of responsibility from the temporarily occupied Crimean peninsula. 17 drones were destroyed in the area of our responsibility," Gumenyuk said.
According to her, the maximum work was done in Mykolaiv region - ten targets were destroyed there. Three UAVs that flew to Odesa region were also destroyed, but the debris damaged a grain storage facility in the port infrastructure. It is obvious that the enemy continues to press on this particular segment of the economy and is trying to inflict maximum damage.
"In Mykolaiv region there was a hit on an infrastructure facility, a fire broke out, but it was promptly eliminated and people were not hurt. There were no casualties in Odesa region as well. Also the enemy continued to hunt for infrastructure objects in Kherson region. Four "Shaheds" were destroyed there, people were not hurt as a result of this attack," - said Humenyuk.
At the same time, she added that this cannot be said about the results of other drones. The enemy has increased FPV drone attacks, in particular along the front line, including attempts on Kinburn Spit - a drone of unknown type was launched from it along the opposite bank, hitting a farm. However, it is closed and no one was there.
"This shows that the enemy has difficulty using aviation, and they are trying to compensate this by drone attacks. In addition, we continue a powerful counter-battery fight, as a result of which the enemy loses a lot of equipment, artillery systems, and in the past combat day we destroyed four guns, a mortar and 42 occupants. Very powerful was the work on observation posts, which the enemy deployed on the left Bank in order to track the direction of our troops", - summarized Gumenyuk.
