A terrible large-scale accident occurred in Rivne Region, killing parents of large families.

On February 2, the press center of Regional subdivisions of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine informed about the fatal accident that occurred in the village of Mykhalyn. According to the rescuers, a Mercedes-Benz Vito and a DAF truck collided on the road, resulting in the deaths of people. Employees of the State Emergency Service, who arrived at the scene of the accident, unblocked three dead and two injured citizens.
A few hours later, press service of the National Police in Rivne Region clarified information about the accident. According to police, four people died in the accident, one person was injured.
"The driver of a Mercedes-Benz Vito, a 50-year-old resident of the village of Vitkovychi, drove into oncoming traffic and collided with a DAF truck driven by a 30-year-old resident of Klesiv. As a result of the accident, the driver of the minibus and two female passengers: a 47-year-old resident of the village of Vytkovychi and a 43-year-old resident of the village of Bohushi, died on the spot. In addition, two other passengers were hospitalized with serious injuries: A 37-year-old resident of the village of Bohushi and her 44-year-old fellow villager. The latter died in the hospital despite medical assistance," the police said, adding that the truck driver was sober at the time of the accident.
Local media source "Radiotrek" reported that parents of large families were killed in the fatal accident. The accident left 23 children orphaned. According to an acquaintance of the victims, the couple was on their way to church on the fateful day. In one family, 14 children were left orphaned, and in the other - 9. Doctors are currently fighting for the life of another woman, a mother of four.
